Russia’s safety ministry has declared a five-hour partial ceasefire to allow residents of two besieged cities to evacuate.
Humanitarian corridors in the intervening time are open for people in Volnovakha and the strategic port metropolis of Mariupol in southeastern Ukraine. Mariupol’s mayor says the city is with out water and vitality, and is working out of meals, after being surrounded by Russian forces.
